It will be hard to express in words my reaction to this glorious CD, but I’ll try. Sam, it seems you have always understood that we are all of us first and foremost, instruments of God. Because He is glorified every time you sing, and it is purposeful on your part, He has gifted you with more of Himself than He gives most people. The a-cappella verse of “Amazing Grace” reflected a purity of spirit that gave me deep peace, and moved my son deeply, also (it is one of his favorite songs.) The joy in your voice, and in the arrangement of “Ev’ry Time I Feel the Spirit” is transcendent!! It has become, along with the Bible verse “This is the day the Lord hath made….” my clarion call at morning prayer. When I heard this happy dancing version, it sent me straight to heaven. Marti, Sam’s voice is recorded so it sounds like he’s right next to you singing – it’s wonderful. Mac Frampton’s arrangements are genius - The Lord’s Prayer piano part is what it ought to be- the bird calls on “His Eye” the start of “Amazing Grace,” “Every Time…” and on and on. What a wonderful gift this album is to the world. |

Happy holidays! N. Pluth had one
copy left and I bought it today. I LOVE the music. I
will give two or three to friends who enjoy your singing as
much as I do. Can't wait for your second CD!!!

The
ceremony was videotaped and I have listened to your
singing of the Lord's Prayer so many times that I have about
worn it out. To
my surprise, my sister, Kathy, sent me your tape, "His Eye
is on the Sparrow." It is a beautiful tape and I am
spreading the word around the Michigan area to go to your
website and buy it.

I just wanted to take a minute or so to call and say thank you again for doing this CD. Your selection of the songs and hymns is so wonderful. I don’t know how you made such a great choice. But I would certainly like to hear another CD sometime and I want you to please thank you Marti for you on this, it is really really wonderful. I keep it in my car, and I don’t care how bad my day might be going, just hearing your voice completely takes away all the frustrations. You have such a blest talent, and I thank you for sharing it with us................I really, really love the CD. |
| K. Nix | Sam, Lovely CD! Thanks for sharing. |

My
name is P. and I am a student at the University of Georgia. I
graduated from St. Pius X in 2003. I have had the honor of hearing
Mr. Hagan sing a couple times in the Atlanta area. I cannot
explain how incredible his voice is. The last time I heard Mr.
Hagan sing was last March at Christ the King, at my friend, A.
Mejia's funeral. I will never forget how beautiful his voice
sounded on such a sad day. Everyone in my family loves what you do and we always cherish the times we can hear you sing at mass. My grandparents attend St. Jude's, and whenever my family gets together for dinner or holidays, something comes up at the dinner table about how wonderful you sounded, or what a beautiful song you sang. We are all big fans. Thank you so much. |

...color
and nuance by singer and orchestra reveal a deep passion for the
music which no amount of technique alone can deliver. Sitting here w. the deluxe headphones which Herman found for us... Sam's CD: spine tingling. Hair on end... The voice. The music. Just huge and rich. Lawdy lawdy lawdy.... Wait til Margie hears this...... Those headphones let nothing escape. Could write a book on the way in which the songs were tackled....and that sweet sweet trumpet.... You were very wise to have the orchestra. A voice that rich has to have that support. |

Received my
CD on Saturday. Can't begin to tell you the listening pleasure it
brought. The sweetest thing to me is how you and your wife worked
together on presenting God's gift to the rest of us. Sweet, sweet
story. ..... Please, please make another CD. |
| P. & M. O'Connor | Back in 1994 Sam sang so beautifully at my father's funeral at St Luke's. Following the funeral I sent Sam a note thanking him and asking if he had a recording. 12 years later we have one!!! We submitted our order for the CD this morning. |

Attended your program today at
Central Florida Community College and was pleased and impressed
with the performance. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire program. One
of the best I've attended over the past few years.

| P. Connors | I love it, absolutely love it!! Sam will be singing me home today as I head over the mountains to Lake George this afternoon. Let me know when the second pressing is delivered.., I want to order one for my Mom and another for my sister Rose.., she especially will love Sam's songs. |
| L. Swann | I attended the concert in Tullahoma TN on 3/2/07 and thoroughly enjoyed the program. I purchased your new CD and I think it is wonderful. You have such a powerful voice. |
| N. Moore | I was always optimistic that you'd be there to sing The Lord's Prayer at my daughter's wedding. Mead heard you perform that number at one of Susan's weddings in late 2006. She was in awe of you and your magnificent voice. |
| W. Drew | I recently purchased "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" at the Ave Maria Shop in Saint Jude the Apostle Church. It begins my day ! Your voice has enriched our Parish and it is a joy to have your music enrich my morning. Thank you Mr. Hagan |

Dear Sam, I just wanted to write and tell you what a big difference you make to my Sundays. Catholic churches are not exactly known for being places of tremendous musical excitement and virtuosity these days, but having your big beautiful confident voice raised up to God puts St. Jude in a different category. I have had tears of happiness more than a few times just listening. So, in a nutshell, thank you for what you do. |
